Date: February 11th 2010

Hello Caretaker's House and Gardens supporters,

One final reminder about our  Sheet Mulch  EXTRAVAGANZA!

Saturday, February 13th,  from 9 am - 12 pm

The Center for Local Self-Reliance is having it's first big soil-building project!  We will layer cardboard, compost and wood chips and begin creating the shape of the gardens. The project will be settled with a dose of sweet compost tea to kick start this biological transformation.

Please join us, Rain or Shine, at this most inspiring time of new beginnings!

*The Caretaker's House will be open and you can see our restoration progress!

* Learn about soil-building techniques!

* Enjoy coffee, tea, baked goods and other refreshments!

Parking is available inside the main entrance to Fairhaven Park, or at Fairhaven Middle School.

The Parks Department has offered to bring all the tools we need- so just bring your favorite gloves and your hearts and hands.
We hope to see you there!
