Design Charrette

The South Neighborhood Association, in partnership with the Edgemoor Neighborhood Association and the Center For Local Self Reliance, is hosting a design charrette for the former Rose Garden site at Fairhaven Park, to be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 22 at Fairhaven Middle School.  The design charrette is a public brainstorming session to get community input on the development of gardens and public occupancy of the former caretakers house at the park.

The charrette is being led by local designer Dave Christensen. Results will be shared with the community on May 5, 7 pm at Fairhaven Middle School.

The charrette is being funded through a Small & Simple grant from the City of Bellingham.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to share their visions for this underutilized public facility.  If unable to attend on the 22nd, please send written comments to:  caretakershouse@gmail.com, or contact Steve Wilson at 671-3380.
